Replacement Wastewater Pumping Station (WwPS) for Sydenham

Proposals for a modern Wastewater Pumping Station in East Belfast

The Vision

As part of the Living with Water programme, a project team has been appointed to assist with the delivery of this new Wastewater Pumping Station. The existing facility was built in the 1970s and has received several upgrades over the past fifty years.

The necessary funding to enable NI Water to proceed with this critical project is included within NI Water’s business plan for the six-year period from 2021 to 2027 under the Living With Water Programme.
